The White Mountain National Forest is filling several permanent career positions GS-1001-04/05 within Visitor Information Services at our Campton, Conway, and Gorham ranger stations.
Positions include:
Permanent Seasonal – 13/13 (estimated annual work period is May through October): 3 positions in Conway, NH, 1 position in Gorham, NH and 1 position in Campton, NH
Permanent Seasonal – 18/8 (estimated annual work period is April through November): 1 position in Conway, NH
Permanent Full Time: 1 position in Gorham, NH

Major Duties include:
• Staffs the front desk at ranger stations and visitor centers, responding to a variety of questions and inquiries regarding Forest Service activities, programs, and regulations.
• Serves as a Collection Officer to sell forest products to visitors, such as maps, permits, and passes.
• Develops and presents educational displays and programs for use on the National Forest and at public fairs, school visits, and community events.
• Supports the office by serving as radio dispatcher.
• Coordinates with staff specialists and public affairs office to provide the latest, most accurate and appropriate information to the public.
• Work schedule may include weekends and some holidays.
